• The Cathedral
This structure is situated in the old town. An immense staircase leads up to the entrance. The Cathedral holds the record of having a single nave which is the widest in the world. It features a combination of architectural styles of the period between the 14th and the 17th centuries. There’s a cathedral museum stored with interesting artifacts from the period.
• El Call
This Jewish quarter has been rediscovered as an important heritage. Calle Forca is the main axis of this district which has a synagogue and a cabbalistic centre of studies. The placa del Oli and la placa del Vi preserve all of their traditional flavour; and here we can find some of the finest Medieval Palace architecture, such as the Fontana d’Or. The Pia Alomoina, an ancient charitable institution in the Gothic style, is situated next to the entrance staircase of the cathedral.
• ‘Banos Arabes’
The Arab baths were built by Morisco craftsmen in the late 12th century, and feature both Romanesque and Moorish architectural designs. The building is situated in the Capuchin convent. The baths have been restored to their original designs, and are now run by the government.
